AMPOXIN CV FORTE DRY SYRUP contains a combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to manage bacterial infections such as middle ear and sinus infections, respiratory tract infections, genital tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections such as dental infections, bone and joint infections, septic abortion (any abortion complicated by uterine infection), and abdominal infections. The symptoms of a bacterial infection may include fever, difficulty breathing, pus formation, and pain.
Do not take AMPOXIN CV FORTE DRY SYRUP if you have a history of hypersensitivity to beta-lactams, including penicillin and cephalosporins, or any other ingredients of this medicine. AMPOXIN CV FORTE DRY SYRUP is not recommended for use if you have a history of amoxicillin-clavulanate-associated jaundice or hepatic dysfunction.
Before taking AMPOXIN CV FORTE DRY SYRUP, inform your doctor if you are suffering from hepatic or renal impairment. AMPOXIN CV FORTE DRY SYRUP should be used with caution in pregnant women and only when necessary. In breastfeeding women, AMPOXIN CV FORTE DRY SYRUP should be used with caution.AMPOXIN CV FORTE DRY SYRUP should be used with caution in children (aged below 12 years) and elderly patients (above 50 years). The common side effects associated with the use of AMPOXIN CV FORTE DRY SYRUP are diarrhoea, thrush (a fungal infection in the vagina, skin folds, or mouth), nausea, and vomiting. Contact your doctor immediately if any of the symptoms worsen.
